    Daryl Ritchison is currently a meteorologist for WDAY-TV and WDAY-AM in Fargo, North Dakota.  He also does the weather for WDAZ-TV for Grand Forks, North Dakota.  His forecasts can also be found in the The Forum of Fargo/Moorhead, the Grand Forks Herald and the Jamestown Sun.  He also co-writes “Weather Talk” a column published daily in The Forum newspaper and maintains a weather blog.

    “The best part of the job is getting out and having the opportunity to talk to your audience in person” is something you will hear Daryl say frequently.  You will find him many times a month is classrooms throughout eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.  He also speaks to community and civic groups, at the local universities and conferences.  From age three to a hundred and three, Daryl has a message for them all. 

    As a former Junior High Science teacher, Daryl continues his role as an educator as an occasional Adjunct Faculty member for the local universities, serves as a mentor for the American Meteorological Society’s K-12 Educational Initiatives.  He also has helped produce Geographic Information System educational videos via a grant obtain by the University of Minnesota from the National Geographical Society.
